After months of preparation, the programme for this year’s CPI Biennial Health, Safety and Industry Conference is now complete.
In an ever changing political and social climate, this year’s conference will focus on the many issues facing the UK Paper Industry and the challenges and opportunities that lay ahead. The conference will provide an unrivalled platform for delegates to hear from, and actively engage with, influential speakers on an array of different industry issues.
To launch the event, we are pleased to announce that Mr Miles Roberts, CEO DS Smith will deliver the Opening Key Note Address, followed by Martin Temple, Chair HSE, who will officially launch the next PABIAC Strategy 2019-2023 ‘Health, Safety and Wellbeing – Hearts, Minds and People’.
Last year, the world was captivated by the story of the Tham Laung youth soccer team and their dramatic rescue from a flood filled cave in Thailand.
Richard (Rick) Stanton, a civilian cave diver, was one of the first to make contact with the team and he played a leading role in the successful rescue thereafter. In this plenary session, Rick will openly talk about the incredible risks involved in this delicate operation to free the 12 boys and their coach from the cave.
With so many diverse and interesting topics to choose from, this year’s conference will be of interest to everyone at all operational levels in the Paper Industry. CPI encourages as many Members as possible to attend and support this event.
On the evening of Monday 8 July, we will be holding a BBQ where delegates can meet up with colleagues prior to the conference. Should you wish to join us, you will need to select Option 1 on the booking form.
