Paper Industry Gold Awards

Terms and Conditions

To enter, you and your nominee should be UK-based, in the paper and board sector, cellulose fibre-based sector, or graphics and print sector. 

Any project or initiative submitted for an award must have been underway during the 12 months previous to the 21st May 2024. You may submit more than one entry in any given category and may also enter the same initiative for more than one category. However, each project or initiative entered can only win a maximum of one award.  

Entry forms, together with supporting evidential documentation, must be submitted before the published closing date for the Awards to be considered.

The closing date for entries is Friday 1st March 2024. 

Publicity

The names of companies that have submitted entries for the Awards may be published in lists of entrants, finalists or winners on the leaflet brochure, associations websites and elsewhere as deemed appropriate by participating associations. 

Images submitted as part of entries, including photos, document covers, web pages, etc, may be used in connection with the Awards presentation and Judges’ reports and must be declared free from copyright or other restrictions in connection with reproduction.

Confidentiality

We recognise that some of the information submitted in support of entries may be of a sensitive or confidential nature.  CPI will do its best to ensure that, where information is indicated to be confidential, confidentiality will be respected and maintained in both the judging process and in any resulting publicity.

Method of Judging 

The judging process will be conducted by a panel comprising representatives from CPI and the Paper Gold Medal Association (PGMA). The panel will meet to select a winner for each category of the awards. 

There will be one winning submission per category.

The judges will take into consideration the merit of the entries and the extent to which the entries meet the awards criteria. 

The judges reserve the right to withhold awards where entries are deemed to be of insufficient merit.  

The decision of the Judges is final.  No correspondence will be entered into. With the exception of the Paper Gold Medal, the Judges reserve the right to move an entry from one category to another.  In the event of this, the entrant will be notified.

Announcement and Presentation 

The Award Winners and the recipient of the Paper Gold Medal will be announced at the Paper Industry Gold Awards ceremony to be held on Tuesday 21st May 2024 at Stationers' Hall, Ave Maria Ln, London EC4M 7DD.

The winners of the Paper Industry Gold Awards will not be revealed prior to the event. Shortlisted entries (and their Nominator) for each award will  receive an invitation to the event. The winners in each category will receive an Award trophy and a certificate. The recipient of the Paper Gold Medal will be notified prior to the event. 

Results will be displayed on the CPI website and the Paper Gold Medal Association website, and will also be shared with the press and relevant stakeholders.
 
Winners of the awards, and the recipient of the Paper Gold Medal will be required to engage with the press.
